After Mission Istanbul… actor Zayed Khan seems to have run away. About where he has run to….well, he’s in Bangalore resting at his farmhouse with family. Apparently, the guy claims to have taken a break after a year, and is giving son, nine-month old Zidaan some quality time and attention.
Though ZK is crazy about soccer and football player Zeke Zidaan, it’s tennis for him these days. And his son, too, seems to like the game, says doting papa Khan. Zayed Khan’s quite known for his generous streak. His wife, Malaika was at the receiving end of his largesse this Diwali. The actor shocked her with Rs 9 lakh - the amount he won while playing cards during the festive season!
Says a source, “Like most actors, Zayed too loves playing cards during Diwali and every night, he’d go to some friend’s home to play cards. On Diwali night, he had gone to a very close friend’s (an industrialist) home, and won a Diwali bonanza of Rs 9 lakh! The actor came home and immediately gave it away to Malaika. There is a popular saying, ‘empty mind is a devil’s workshop’, and the devil is surely working on Zayed Khan’s empty mind, prompting him to indulge in drunken brawls and fights. The actor recently bashed up two youngsters at a nightclub, on the pretext that they were misbehaving with his cousin.
Zayed Khan, along with Farah Khan-Ali, Fardeen and Hrithik were present at a reopening of the nightclub ‘Poison’ in Mumbai. The hot-blooded actor indulged in a fight with two youngsters. Zayed Khan in first ever underwater song

He’s happy because he’ll soon be shooting the first underwater song sequence ever in Hindi cinema. But inclement weather in Bangkok has held up shooting and the producers are losing a ton of money.
Zayed, who has been stationed in Bangkok and Phuket for the past month, says, “It’s never been done before. On the concept level itself it sounds too, too outrageous. The entire cast singing in the deep sea. That’s unique, man!”

Most of the film, he says, is shot on or under the ocean. “The guys who’ve done the stunts for this film have worked on Titanic, Torque, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Mummy.
The director Tony chose me because he felt the role was a physically demanding one. And I am in good shape. Predominantly, the story is about treasure buried at sea. I play a character called Sam, an experienced sailor. But more than that, he’s a great swimmer too!” says Zayed. Well, we hope you make ‘waves’ at the box office!
Zayed Khan has been lying pretty low especially after “Mission Istanbul” bombed at the box office.
He is not ready to accept any more film offers and has been spending time only with is family. And, he has very different plans at the moment.

Apoorva Lakhia teams up with Zayed Khan yet again

Lakhia has roped in Zayed for a remake of a big-budgeted Hollywood gangster epic. The film, which is being produced by Sa Re Ga Ma (HMV), is about the journey of a father and son through a series of adventures.

Zayed Khan undaunted by stunt gone wrong

The debacle of his last release Mission Istanbul hasn’t disheartened Zayed Khan, who seems intent on proving himself as an action hero. In this bid to prove his mettle, the actor has been pulling out all the stops and putting his body through the rigours of dangerous stunts.

Zayed fell on face while doing stunt in Bangkok
0 Comments Published by Zayed Khan August 18th, 2008 in NewsZayed Khan, who’s currently into performing his own stunts, had an accident when he jumped out of a high-rise building in Bangkok while shooting for Blue. The fall went wrong and Zayed’s forehead hit the windshield of a car.
“The blood gushed out and was all over my face. It took a while for everyone to realise I was injured,” Zayed said.

What about the lover boy look that he started out with? “Yeah, change is inevitable, but that charm can be brought back with the right kind of roles. In fact, in a Vashu Bhagnani film that I’m doing, I’m going back seven years,” he says.
